Educational purpose
Puppy Gumbo provides educational information for families interested in home-prepared feeding. The website and related materials do not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship and are not a substitute for examination, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or individualized nutrition advice from a veterinarian or appropriately qualified veterinary professional.
Individual dogs are different
Age, body condition, medical history, medications, allergies or intolerances, activity, calorie needs, laboratory findings, and other factors can change what is appropriate for an individual dog. Consult your veterinarian before significant dietary changes, especially when a dog has a medical condition, takes medication, or has special nutritional needs.
Important — Follow Each Recipe as Written
A Puppy Gumbo recipe is presented as a specific combination of ingredients, quantities, preparation instructions, and any identified supplement or premix guidance.
Substitutions, omissions, additions, changes in ingredient amounts, changes in preparation, or changes to a specified supplement or premix can alter the nutritional profile of the recipe.
If you modify the recipe, you are no longer following the Puppy Gumbo recipe as written. Puppy Gumbo LLC cannot evaluate the nutritional adequacy, safety, or effects of a user-modified version and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, is not responsible for outcomes caused by substitutions, omissions, additions, quantity changes, preparation changes, or supplement/premix changes made by the user.
Current status and future plans
Puppy Gumbo distinguishes between what is available now and what it is working toward. References to professional nutrition guidance, formulation, laboratory work, recipe-specific premixes, additional Founder Bowls, secure accounts, testing, or future resources are plans or development goals unless the page clearly states that the item is currently available.
No AAFCO endorsement or certification claim
Puppy Gumbo does not represent that AAFCO approves, certifies, tests, or endorses an individual Puppy Gumbo recipe. Nutritional-adequacy or adult-maintenance language should be used only when the supporting work for the specific recipe and intended representation is complete.
Website information and third-party links
We work to keep the website accurate and current, but educational information can change as evidence, professional review, regulations, and the Puppy Gumbo project develop. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience or education; those sites control their own content, policies, and services.
Purchases and digital products

Use of educational information involves personal judgment and responsibility. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
